With 780 square kilometres, Khao Sok National Park is the largest in southern Thailand and landscape wise one of the most spectacular. The "Cheow Lan" Reservoir is part of this national park. While almost all tours only cover the “entrance” of the park (with standard programs such as elephant rides and river canoo), we pay a visit to the further removed reservoir with its fantastic panorama.
The journey with a traditional long-tail boat along mountain and rock formations overgrown with rain forest to the ranger station will leave you with overwhelming impressions.
Die Fahrt mit einem typischen Longtailboot entlang vom Regenwald überwachsenen Berg und Felsformationen zur Rangerstation bietet einen überwältigenden Eindruck.
After a one-hour hike through the jungle, you reach a cave, which offers the opportunity to go on an adventurous hike. Equipped with headlamps and flashlights, you cross a subterranean stream to interesting caves with stalagmites and stalactites.
The return trip is interrupted by a visit to the historical Old Takuapa.
This trip is offered biweekly and includes national park fees, long-tail boat tour, lunch, and soft drinks.
